The service

FindMyConsultant helps people find licensed Canadian immigration consultants (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants, RCICs) and contact them. It is free for people looking for help. Consultants get a free profile built from the CICC public register, which they can claim to manage. Optional paid plans for consultants are planned; nothing is sold through the site today.

Information on this site is general information, not legal or immigration advice. We are independent: not affiliated with or endorsed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Only a licensed consultant, a lawyer, or a Québec notary can be paid to advise you on immigration.

Listings come from the public register

We show consultants that the CICC public register lists as active and entitled to practise, with the date we last checked. The register can change between our checks, so confirm a consultant's licence on the CICC register before you hire them. A listing is not a recommendation, and we don't verify a consultant's skill, results or fees.

Anything a consultant adds to their own profile (for example a bio, services or languages) is their statement, not ours.

How results are ranked

Best Match results are ranked by fit to your answers: things like where the consultant practises, how long they've been licensed, their licence class for Immigration and Refugee Board matters, and whether they have claimed their profile (so your message can reach them). Paying never changes Best Match. If a consultant pays for placement in the future, it will appear separately and be labelled “Sponsored”.

Hiring a consultant

Any agreement, fee, refund or outcome is between you and the consultant. We are not a party to it. Agree on fees in writing before you share documents or pay anything. If you have a concern about a consultant's conduct, you can contact the CICC.

For consultants

• Claim only your own profile, using the email the CICC register lists for you. Claiming someone else's profile is not allowed.
• Keep what you add accurate and lawful, and follow the CICC's rules for advertising and client communication.
• Your licence details come from the register and can't be edited on the site.
• Messages sent to you through the site are for responding to that person's enquiry. Don't use them for anything else.
• We may suspend a profile or account that breaks these terms or the law, or while we look into a disputed claim.

Fair use

Please don't:

• send spam, false or abusive messages, or messages on someone else's behalf without their permission;
• copy, scrape or bulk-download the directory, or use it to build a competing list or a mailing list;
• try to get around our security, rate limits or bot checks, or access data that isn't yours;
• pretend to be someone else, including another consultant.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”, without promises that it will always be complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on the site, or for any consultant's advice, services or conduct. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
