Good to know
How do I check that a consultant is licensed?
Look up their name or licence number (it starts with R) on the CICC public register. Every consultant on this page was listed there as active and entitled to practise when we last checked, and each profile shows that date. Our step-by-step guide shows how to read the record.
Who can represent me at the Immigration and Refugee Board?
Among licensed consultants, only L3 (RCIC-IRB) consultants can; lawyers can as well. In British Columbia, 563 licensed consultants are L3.
Is it free to contact them?
Yes. Searching, matching and contacting consultants through FindMyConsultant is free. Agree on fees in writing before you share documents or pay anything.
How is this list ordered?
Consultants who have claimed their profile come first, because messages reach them directly. After that the order rotates every day. Paying never moves anyone up.
